About Aethyrix
Free tools for better decisions — built with transparency and no hidden agenda.
What We Are
Aethyrix is a collection of 100+ free web tools designed to help people navigate decisions in personal finance, career, health, productivity, and daily life. Every tool is free to use — no account required, no paywalls on core features.
Our tools cover a wide range: financial calculators that model your real take-home pay from side gigs, salary negotiation scripts, rent vs. buy comparisons, subscription auditors, career tools, health trackers, AI writing aids, and much more. We believe access to clear, unbiased information should not depend on your ability to pay a financial advisor or career coach.
Our Mission
Most people make major life decisions — whether to rent or buy a home, whether to take a job offer, how much their freelance work actually pays — based on rough intuition or incomplete information. We exist to close that gap.
Our mission is to put free, accurate, easy-to-use tools in the hands of everyday people so they can make better-informed decisions. No subscription required. No upsell after you get your result. Just the answer.
How We Build Our Tools
Every tool on Aethyrix is built on the same principles:
- Transparent methodology. The formulas and data sources behind each calculator are grounded in publicly available data: IRS tax brackets, BLS wage data, Federal Reserve reports, academic research, and industry publications. We document our assumptions.
- No hidden agendas. Our tools are not optimized to push you toward a particular product or service. A rent vs. buy calculator should tell you honestly whether renting makes sense for your situation — not steer you toward a mortgage.
- Privacy by design. Most calculations happen in your browser. Your financial inputs are not stored on our servers unless you explicitly save them.
- Honest limitations. Every tool that touches finance, health, or legal topics includes a clear disclaimer: tool outputs are for informational purposes and do not replace professional advice. We would rather tell you to consult a CPA than give you false confidence.
- Continuous improvement. We regularly update data sources — tax rates, salary benchmarks, cost-of-living indexes — to keep results accurate.
Data Sources and Accuracy
Our tools draw from authoritative sources including:
- IRS tax brackets and standard deduction tables (updated annually)
- Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) occupational employment and wage data
- Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) for interest rates and economic indicators
- U.S. Census Bureau for cost-of-living and demographic data
- Peer-reviewed research for health and wellness guidance
- Industry surveys and reports for salary benchmarking
Despite our efforts to maintain accuracy, tool results are estimates. Individual circumstances vary. We always recommend consulting a qualified professional before making major financial, medical, or legal decisions.
Who Built This
Aethyrix was built by a small team of engineers and product people who were tired of financial tools buried behind paywalls and career resources locked in expensive coaching programs.
We are not a bank, brokerage, insurance company, or financial institution. We do not sell investment products. We are not affiliated with any employer data providers or recruiting platforms. We earn revenue through advertising and optional premium features, which allows us to keep all core tools free.
Advertising and Revenue
Aethyrix is funded by display advertising (via Google AdSense) and optional paid features. We do not sell your personal data. We do not accept payment to influence tool results or rankings. Advertisements are clearly labeled and do not affect the content or output of our tools.
